I. Overview of Incoloy 901(N09901) nickel-based alloy:
Incoloy 901 usually has a Cr content of11.0-14.0% and a nickel content of 40.0-45.00% and is a nickel-based alloycontaining molybdenum and copper, which has good hot and cold workability. Itis an austenitic age-hardening alloy based on Fe-43Ni-12Cr, adding titanium,aluminum, and equivalent strengthening elements, and contains a small amount ofboron and lower carbon, in which the metastable γ "[Ni3 (Ti, Al)] phase isdispersedly strengthened, and a small amount of aluminum can inhibit theconversion of γ "to the η-Ni3Ti phase.
Incoloy 901 has high yield strength andlong-lasting strength below 650 ℃, goodoxidation resistance below 760 ℃, and stablestructure for long-term use. This alloy is a relatively mature alloy developedin the early days. It is widely used to manufacture rotating discs (turbine discs,compressor discs, journals, etc.), static structural parts, and turbines foraviation and gas turbine engines operating below 650 ° C.

III. Application:
This alloy is widely used in aero engines andgas turbines for rotating parts and fasteners working below 650 ° C, andprovides a long service life. It has also been used in aviation engines inChina, and it is a mature alloy that has been tested for use. When the alloyforging process parameters are not properly selected or operated, itsperformance will show obvious directionality and may cause notch sensitivity,but as long as the process is strict, this phenomenon will not occur. Theexpansion coefficient of this alloy is close to that of ferritic heat-strengthalloy steel, so that the two materials can be jointed without facing specialregulations.
